In the past few weeks my biggest pet peeve at work has come to fruition in the form of incoming e-mails. Specifically I have begun to receive responses to my e-mails that simply say, "Please call me." Umm, I'm pretty sure that in the signature line of the e-mail I just sent you, there is a phone number listed for where you are able to reach me. If you are the one that needs to speak with me, then pick up the phone yourself and dial the number that was so clearly provided to you. If you are so lazy that you will not dial a number and can only send out an e-mail then I do not wish to speak with you.
On that same topic, do not ask me a question via e-mail only to call me four minutes later and ask me the exact same question on the phone. Listen, I am busy. I saw your e-mail and I'm going to answer it in a timely manner but believe it or not, answering your e-mail is not the only thing I have to do today so sit patiently and wait your turn like your mother should have taught you.
