in honor of the fact that last week allan and i confirmed our trip to jackson hole in december, i thought i'd share a little ski movie trailer with everyone. although i love all ski movies that come out of jackson hole, i am especially excited about this one because it was created by and stars my former roomie, trevor hiatt (aka - trevy), patagonia ski ambassador extraordinaire. wish i was going to be there for the big event, good work trevy!

my first DIY project

last weekend i tried my hand at my very first DIY project. i mean, sure i did a few things in college for the apartment, but i don't really think that painting a quote on a canvas that reads, "i live for the nights i'll never remember with the friends i'll never forget," actually qualifies as a DIY project anymore. sad.

so off to lowes i went for some sand paper and paint to re-finish and re-upholster a vanity stool for the master bathroom. unlike other DIY blogs out there, i will not be providing you with the step-by-step photos or instructions because quite frankly the process wasn't pretty, but i think the end result is! so without further ado, the vanity seat before:
